As time goes by …

The long-time employees Peter Jochmann, Jens-Holger Hellmann, Karl-Ulrich (Kalle) Evers from Arctic Technology Dept. and Hans-Uwe Schnoor from Resistance & Propulsion Dept. bid farewell to HSVA. The event was celebrated with more than 160 guests - former and active HSVA employees as well as business partners and friends from Germany and abroad (Norway, Finland, The Netherlands, Canada and Russia). They followed the invitation and met on 23rd June in the model preparation hall of HSVA’s Large Ice Tank and used the opportunity to exchange ideas during small talk with wine, beer and BBQ.
The Managing Director Dr. Janou Hennig thanked the retirees for their work and personal engagement at HSVA. Afterwards the three colleagues from the Arctic Technology  department had to prove their knowledge, skills and experience in ice breaking technology. With an ice breaking model a level ice sheet had to be broken and finally a 180 degree turn maneuver had to be run.
After tactical ice management and a successful berthing maneuver, numerous gifts were presented and the party continued until the late evening hours.

HSVA wishes the retirees all the best for the future and may they furthermore remain associated to the development of maritime technologies.
