Offshore
The combined action of waves, current and wind imposes forces on structures relating in motions and internal loads. At HSVA we use our numerical tools and our testing facilities to support our clients in answering their questions and removing uncertainties. Projects range from simplified tests in an early concept phase up to verification tests for the final tests.
The investigated structures are quite different, like e.g. floating wind mills, FPSOs, semi-submersibles, wind turbine installation vessels or autonomous vehicle. Next to structures related to the offshore segment, we use our knowledge and facilities to test all kind of structures with respect to hydrodynamic aspects. For such special projects we have the proficiency for the mechanical designing, complete manufacturing process, use of active controls and dealing with large and heavy models.
For offshore and specials tests are performed in all our facilities, whichever suits best for the purpose. Beside our stock measuring equipment tailored instrumentation is designed and built.
Within our Division offshore and specials we like to take up challenges with respect to inventing tailored test setups which we prefer doing in a close cooperation with the customer.
