When you enter the room, stepper motors hum and print heads rush over half-finished components. Since the beginning of 2020, three different printers have been producing appendices, superstructures and an entire ship model. By using different printing processes, the high expectations of our customers regarding geometry and accuracy are always met perfectly.

The first 3D-printed model for use in a seakeeping campaign was successfully tested. The model had a length of 2.35 m and an integrated roll tank, equipped with realistic construction details inside. This model including superstructures was made of PLA and proved its performance in tests under extreme conditions, even leading to capsizing of the vessel.
