Last week the model test campaign for the new 7,800 DWT Multi-Purpose Vessels for Langh Ship started at HSVA

The design has been developed by Langh Ship in collaboration with Outokumpu and the Chinese ship designer Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute (SDARI). A total of three vessels will be built by Wuhu shipyard in China, with the first vessel scheduled for delivery in mid-2023 and to be followed by the other two in the near future.

We were especially pleased to welcome Mrs. Laura Langh-Lagerlöf and Mr. Eero Pajunen in our test facility at HSVA in Hamburg personally to attend first calm water tests with stock propeller. The Chinese partners witnessed the resistance and propulsion tests via live stream directly from the towing carriage.
